I have had a web presence since 1997. The first website I owned was http://www.howtofoldsoup.com, a personal site that went wholly under-utilized for most of that time (25 articles in 8 years?). Regardless, I registered and owned that domain based on my online identity, which was taken from the title of a short story by Steve Martin.

The government of South Carolina flys a Confederate Flag among the U.S. and South Carolina Flags in front of the state house. A number of groups have recently taken up the issue and are protesting it's presence on government property. The protesters say that it represents a scar on the past and celebrates slavery, where as the South Carolina government says it merely represents the history of the state and it's symbology is being distorted by those who are protesting it. |
