Interesting observations in laboratory controlled E. Coli generations. Of course, this won't change any of the creationist's minds, but it still is facinating.
E. Coli bacteria shows signs of evolution in lab testing
Despite an overwhelming body of scientific evidence, evolution is still a fiercely debate topic in some circles. Many people take evolution for granted, simply understanding that it is the theory accepted by the scientific community based on the strong supporting evidence, and remain relatively oblivious to the controversy. However, the fact remains that yearly there are many protests and court cases in the U.S. and abroad where people try to block educational attempts to teach the theory of evolution and replace them with religious-based theories.
Fortunately for evolutionary scientists they now have perhaps the greatest piece of evidence of all -- the largest evolutionary leap observed to date. The experiment started inconspicuously, with researchers at Michigan State University in East Lansing by using a single Escherichia coli bacterium and its descendants to found 12 populations.

Maybe I'll stick with typing and a computerized spell-checking.
I have found a voice, for myself and others like me. This voice's name is Ernie (a name which already has affection in my heart). |

I'm no photographer, as you can probably tell by my Gallery Page, but I did find these Picture of the Year photo sets interesting:
Reuters Pictures of the Year
This set didn't have the impact on me that the next one did, but there are some amazing pictures in it. Of course, there are some crap ones too. Madonna flipping the camera off? Is that really have any relavance in 2005?
MSN The Year in Pictures 2005
I was more impressed by the Editors Choices (the first batch) than the Peoples Choices. These photos have a soundtrack, which add to their value as well.
Enjoy.
