Ahh, the sweet smell of corruption and superstition.

Religion is the single greatest plight to assult this planet since the advent of people. God does not exist. Imagine you found some tribe of primatives standing about worshiping a coke bottle because it fell from the sky. You would think, "Man, are they clueless." [and if you are christian, "Man, are they clueless, I will show them how to bring Jesus into their hearts and solve all their problems.] That's how I view every religion. Simply a large group of people who don't know any better and need to be shown the light.

Now, setting my superiority complexes aside (which is harder to do than you might think, you sniveling worm) I am always trying to look at the Bible objectively. Not easy when you've always seen the people who worship it as a bunch of mindless idiots worth about as much as the rolling papers it's printed on. But I digress. Let's take this step-by-step.

My first clue that religion (and in most of my ranting about religion, I will reference the Bible, and more specifically Christians, simply because that's what I'm faced with most here in the US, and it is, to my perspective at least, the most corrupt and contemptable) was a crock was it's amazing adaptability to every situation, which, coincidentally, is what makes arguing with people about the Bible so difficult. I'll explain. In the beginning, God was the wind, and he was everywhere. It was dark, he brought light, and it was lonely, so he made people from Dust. It made perfect sense till science came along and gave pieces of information that wouldn't go in synch with that interpetation of the Bible. The Earth is 4 Billion Years old (created in 7 days?), but Man is only some 10,000 years old (well, man as we know him, fully erect...which reminds me of a joke...but I'll save that for another time).

"Well no, of course it wasn't created in 7 real days...Those were God days. Duuhh. Everyone knows that. They were simpler times then and the message that God delivered was a simple one so the people of the time could understand it."

Hello Mr. About-Face, how've you been? 'Gods words are the Laws which man must abide by!...um...er...Unless I tell you that God was actually paraphrasing, then just accept my intepetation and move on.' You know, that's the same problem with the Tax Laws, and well, just about most of the in this Country, they're always open for interpetation by someone. And if you're someone can argue better his view (even though that view may change the next time he argues..), you win.
